Op 16 juni spreekt Tim de Witte, CCO van BD myShopi, op WebTomorrow, het toonaangevende evenement dat zich focust op de impact van digital. Tim De Witte gaat er in gesprek met Jo Caudron (CEO van Duval Union Consulting) en Koen Verwee (CEO van De Persgroep Publishing) tijdens een panelgesprek over “digital transformation”.

Je kan ze op één hand tellen: de bedrijven die succesvol een “tranformation strategy” wisten te implementeren en uit te rollen. BD myShopi is er daar één van, en dus vertelt Tim De Witte graag over hoe die transformatie in zijn werk ging – van de successen tot de groeipijnen en de uitdagingen voor de toekomst.

De people factor maakte het verschil in het succes van de omschakeling.

Het verhaal van BD myShopi is er één van een weloverwogen overgang van een puur logistieke speler naar een omni-channel media- en marketingbedrijf dat consumenten activeert met papieren en digitale oplossingen. “De people factor maakte het verschil in het succes van de omschakeling”, zegt Tim De Witte. “Als je een fundamentele ingreep doet aan het DNA van je bedrijf, dan moet de verandering gedragen worden door het hele bedrijf, niet enkel sales en marketing. Ook finance, HR, operations, productie en arbeiders moeten op de hoogte zijn en honderd procent achter de verandering staan.”

Digitale transformatie hoeft trouwens niet te betekenen dat je het oorspronkelijke DNA van je bedrijf zomaar overboord gooit. Het is belangrijk om de perfecte match te vinden tussen beide werelden. Bij BD myShopi heet die match “omni-channel activation”. Door adverteerders een uitgebalanceerde mix van papieren en digitale oplossingen te bieden om de consument te activeren en door ook op beide niveaus te blijven innoveren, slaagt BD myShopi erin om het originele DNA en de nieuwe digitale insteek met elkaar te verweven in haar Transformation Strategy.
