Uit de laatste editie van de Door To Door Impact Survey – die de impact van folderdistributie in kaart brengt – blijkt dat het grote merendeel van de Belgische consumenten wekelijks tijd uittrekt om de reclamefolders te lezen. Laat ons eens de vergelijking met maken met onze noorderburen, want ook in Nederland blijft de folder de koning van de massamedia.

Recent onderzoek* maakt duidelijk dat de papieren folder in Nederland een netto bereik heeft van 11,3 miljoen mensen. Het percentage daarvan dat zich door de folder laat activeren tot aankoop is duizelingwekkend: meer dan 80 procent schiet na het doorbladeren van de folder in actie. Ook in België beweert maar liefst 75% zich effectief door de folders te laten leiden bij het samenstellen van het boodschappenlijstje. Tel daarbij dat consumenten in België en Nederland gemiddeld 16 à 17 minuten besteden aan het doornemen van de folders en u begrijpt waarom steeds meer mediabureaus hen opnemen in de mediaplanning.

Uit hetzelfde Nederlandse onderzoek blijkt dat ook digitale folders hun snelle opmars blijven verderzetten. Met een netto bereik van 3,9 miljoen Nederlanders vormt de digitale variant een waardevolle aanvulling op de papieren folder. Terwijl de huis-aan-huis folder vooral wordt geraadpleegd om op de hoogte te zijn van speciale aanbiedingen, wordt de digitale folder vaker gebruikt om specifieke producten te vergelijken. Shopping websites en apps zoals Spotta (NL) en myShopi (BE) blijven dan ook trouw aan het succesvolle recept van de online reclameblaadjes.
