myShopi-campagne gelauwerd voor communicatiestrategie en uitzonderlijke ROI

EFFIE Awards 2017 We did it! BD myShopi en De Vloer winnen de bronzen EFFIE Award voor hun B2C-campagne voor de Belgische myShopi-app. Met deze prestigieuze award, die wordt uitgereikt in meer dan 30 landen om de marketing communicatie industrie aan te moedigen meer te focussen op de ROI van reclame, werd onze campagne gekroond tot één van de beste van 2016.

From digital to human

Het idee achter de campagne was om met myShopi de switch te maken ‘from digital to human’. Daarom introduceerden we ons mini-mensje genaamd Lily. Als geïllustreerde versie van real life Lily – de consument die in de spot door een moeilijke shopping journey gaat – kon mini-Lily spreken met Lily-de-consument vanuit het standpunt van de consument zelf, en dus vanuit haar eigen ervaring. Door minder te praten over onze features en meer over de voordelen werd myShopi minder digital en meer mens.

Pittige KPI’s en wilde dromen

Mini-Lily was de rode draad doorheen alle campagnetools. En die campagne kon maar best alomtegenwoordig zijn aangezien we onszelf enkele uitdagende KPI’s hadden opgelegd – we zaten hardop te dromen van 1 miljoen downloads en 500.000 maandelijks actieve gebruikers.

Natuurlijk wilden we Lily niet zomaar om het even waar laten opduiken, maar precies daar waar consumenten helemaal in de mind set zaten om te shoppen, te kopen, te consumeren. Lily sprak consumenten aan via placemats op restaurant en reed met hen mee in het winkelkarretje in de supermarkt – altijd met de strafste promoties, de meest recente folders en de beste shopping tips in de aanbieding.

Kortom, dankzij Lily werden onze dromen werkelijkheid. We deden zelfs beter dan onze KPI’s, met 1.038.100 downloads en 574.300 maandelijks actieve gebruikers. En met onze EFFIE case konden we bewijzen dat het de communicatiestrategie was die leidde tot deze uitzonderlijke ROI..

Van applicatie tot aggregatie

Waarom wij zelf geloven dat het verhaal van mini-Lily werkt? We geloven dat datgene wat ons onderscheidt van onze concullega’s exact hetgeen is wat consumenten nodig hebben: één complete shopping buddy die van alle markten thuis is in plaats van meerdere single feature apps. Met deze EFFIE Award bevestigt BD myShopi dat de evolutie van applicatie naar aggregatie dé oplossing is in de complexe en concurrentiële promomarkt, waar voor elk van de features van myShopi concurrerende apps bestaan. Intussen kunnen we elke maand rekenen op 850.000 gebruikers, op zoek naar kortingen, cashbacks, promoties, folders en klantenkaarten van de meest uiteenlopende retailers en merken. Dat wil echter niet zeggen dat we vanaf nu stoppen met dromen. Volgens Lily is zelfs de sky niet de limit.
